Office Space … with a slide!
I came across a feature of the new Microsoft offices in Vienna, Austria on Desire to Inspire and just had to share it with you.
The main areas of the office are carpeted in a pattern with a linear pattern that draws the eye down the hall and creates a sense of movement.
The bold art and freestanding lighting make an ordinary boardroom unique.
This blue conference room is anything but typical!
Another ‘board’room …
I used to get made fun of for rolling my exercise ball (that I used as a chair) down the hall to meetings … this conference room comes equipped. No chairs, only balls!
Naturally, any office space isn’t fully complete until it has a slide in it!
What do you think? Anyone going to apply for a job in Microsoft’s new Vienna office?

Fantastic! I love the collection of images, so inspiring. I went down the huge slide in Tate Modern a few years ago and it was fab seeing serious city slickers transform from worried business person to a child screaming for joy as they whizzed down the slide (or chute as we say here). Brilliant!
wow how cool … would love the slide but imagine tight pencil skirt and high heels
somehow I don’t envisage Microsoft wearing corporate attire … probably jeans and cool trainers.
What a unique space! I love the balls as chairs.
I think the carpet, however, would make me dizzy!
The slide is a riot.
I’d love to see their health and safety training!
Another fun post, Sarah. Thanks!
What a wonderful office to work in! The color is so stimulating!
